Autistic Support Group

We are very pleased to announce that thanks to a very kind invitation, the people behind Autism Spectrum Explained - Creigh and Caley - will be teaming up to support Colin, who makes YouTube videos about life on the spectrum, as he forms an online autistic support group. You read that right - this is not an autism support group, this is an autistic support group, which means that it's just for adults on the autism spectrum to come and talk in a safe zone.

Caley and I are very excited to be able to help get this group started. An online support group, we feel, is pretty perfect, not only in terms of worldwide access, but also in terms of comfort. With an online group, you get to choose the type of environment you're in, when and if you want to take breaks, and more. Plus, the multiple modes of communication offered should enable most people to participate - between the typing and the voice chat options, even if one mode of communication doesn't work for you, you can always use the other.

Sound like something you'd be interested in? Watch Colin's video to learn more!

The Next Step

The group has started meeting now! We currently meet Saturdays from 1PM-2PM US Eastern Standard Time, with social hour afterwards from 2PM-3PM EST (for most of you in the UK, with the time zone conversion that translates to meeting from 6-7PM with social hour from 7-8). If you're interested in joining us, please take the survey below to let us know! None of the questions in the below survey are required, so you can answer as many or as few as you like - the only one we really absolutely need for you to be able to join is your email address (the last question). We appreciate the time you're taking to give us feedback, and we hope to see you at the group!

Finally, if you're interested in participating, please leave us your email!
We'll get back to you when the support group is ready to meet!
